Smartphones have changed the way everything is done in this world. Do you agree with that assertion? If you don't, just consider this, I use my smartphone to make calls, wireless router, transfer money, acquire assets, operate soft wallets, monitor markets, access the Bible, take notes and so many more.

No wonder the smartphone market is booming so much in Ghana with every young boy or girl (as little as upper primary) yearning to possess one. Infact this has even driven the price of smartphones up and its only the producers and retailers who benefit.

Of course no one denies the negative impact smartphones are having on the youth of today such as posting unwarranted and detestable images and videos on social media, but we cannot also deny the so many positive impact smartphones are having in our lives and this is where I come in to bring to you three ways to earn legal money in Ghana with smartphones.

1. Sell Items on E-commerce Platforms

Platforms like Jiji, Tonaton and Facebook Marketplace, enables you to sell unused items or even create a small business right from your smartphone. Many people earn by flipping products or selling handmade goods online using their smartphones to manage sales and communication with buyers. My advice here is that, you need high-quality photos and clear descriptions of products you want to sell since this will make them sell faster.

2. Complete Surveys and Microtasks

Apps like Paidwork and Mcrypto allow you to make money by taking surveys, watching videos, and completing small tasks. While the payouts might be small, they add up over time, and all you need is your smartphone to get started. My advice here is that you have to be consistent and aim to complete several tasks daily to see a steady income flow.

3. Investments Through Mobile Apps

Popular online exchanges like Binance and OKX have mobile apps that allow you to invest in cryptocurrency with just a few taps on your phone. Locally, you can use your smartphone to buy Treasury bills, company shares and access several other investment packages. With just a small initial capital, you can start growing your wealth through small, consistent investments. My advice here is that you have to do your research and start small to learn the ropes of investing without risking too much.

Content Creation on Social Media

You can also earn money with your smartphone through content creation on Social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. These platforms provide opportunities to earn through sponsored posts, ad revenue, or affiliate marketing. If you have a unique perspective or content style, your smartphone can become your gateway to a profitable online presence.
